Abstract

Statement of the problem. The aim of the study was to develop a computational model of composite bar elements made of wood under eccentric compression for the case of a special limiting state as well as to develop a methodology for computational analysis of such structures taking into account the nonlinear nature of their deformation (geometric and physical nonlinearity). Results. In this work, analytical expressions are constructed for calculating the stiffness of the shear moduli of the cross sections of a solid eccentrically compressed element equivalent to an element of a composite section with shear links and rigid cross links evenly distributed along the length. A method for calculating the stability of the deformed state of composite wood eccentrical- ly compressed rod elements of the load-bearing system of a building under sudden dynamic loading is proposed.Conclusions. The proposed calculation model of an eccentrically compressed composite bar and the algorithm for stability analysis allow one to assess the resistance to the progressive collapse of wooden members of buildings and structures with the degradation of the shear stiffness of their cross sections.
