Abstract

The results of experimental and theoretical studies of the mechanical characteristics of filaments from which a carbon tape of the LUP brand are made when applied to it with metallic coatings of titanium and stainless steel and carbon plastics produced using vacuum infusion technology using an epoxy binder are presented. It has been established that the application of metal coatings to the carbon tape will slightly increase the strength of the yarns during stretching and lead to a significant increase in the strength of carbon plastics in the interlayer shear. Sputtering of metal coatings was carried out in two units: Bulat-6 and MIR-2. Metallization of the carbon tape with the use of the vacuum-arc device “Bulat-6” allows obtaining low values of the interlayer layers of the transverse layer than the metallization of the metallic magnetron in MIR-2.
