Abstract

The effective implementation of education is influenced by the leadership of the school principal. The right leadership style can determine the quality and quality of service. Although in any situation the principal is required to improve the ability in information technology and has an important role to make all policies for the success of the school, it is also supported by employee performance, therefore the key to success lies in leadership. The purpose of this study is to analyse and describe the performance of teachers and education personnel can be influenced by the principal's leadership style. The results showed that there are seven aspects of the principal's leadership style, among others, first, the daily behaviour of the principal shows a caring attitude, open, jolly, firm but wise; second, delegation is done fairly; third, decision making is done together, in certain situations and urgent decisions are taken by the principal; fourth, supervision is done directly and monitors progress; fifth, school development includes facilities and infrastructure, teacher and employee learning, student talent interest development; sixth, communication is two-way and open by providing solutions; seventh, motivating by providing encouragement and enthusiasm in the form of praise, thanks, telling stories about experiences that can inspire and fulfil answers to employee problems.
