Abstract

The article deals with the archaeological sites that became known when studying the medieval settlement of Talgar. According to available sources, there are not fortified settlements near the settlement. According to research, the territory in which the medieval city is located was quite large. This is evidenced by various finds found near the settlement. In addition, mentions of the settlement have been preserved in the works of writers and in the works of researchers. The study of the urban area and nearby settlements revealed the fact that trade and crafts flourished in the settlement. Imported objects and silver coins found on the territory of the settlement are today the main exhibits of a number of museums and reserves-museums in the country.
