Abstract
Oral administration of phenylbutazone, oxyphen-butazone, mefenamic acid, flufenamic acid, or indomethacin, like salicylates or corticosteroids, retards skin wound healing in rats. The healing inhibitory action of any one of these anti-inflammatory agents can be reversed by local application of retinoic acid.
