Abstract
In this study, SnO2 doped In2O3 nanofibers were prepared using an electrospinning method and subjected to a series of analyses using TGA, XRD, SEM, TEM, and XPS. The gold nanoparticles were then sputtered onto nanofibers for use in a carbon monoxide (CO) gas sensor. The gas sensing results show that 4 wt% SnO2 doped In2O3 nanofibers with gold coating for 20 s (gold particle size of about 14 ± 3 nm) have the best CO sensing response. The best CO gas response is 29.2%, with good recovery and reproducibility.
