Abstract
A multilayer monochromator is used to measure the radiative emission from laser produced plasmas of single element targets in the region of 125 eV (99 Å). The characteristics and performance of the instrument are described. A study is then presented of the relative yield variations as the target atomic number is changed. An interpretation of the observed trend is proposed based on high resolution spectra of the same target element in the same spectral window.
