Abstract
ABSTRACT This essay seeks to alter our view of Max Weber by considering the ways that some scholars regarded Weber before his wife Marianne published her biography of her husband. By examining some of the writings by Karl Jaspers, Andreas Walther, Alexander von Schelting and Otto Hintze, we gain a more accurate picture of Max Weber as the person and scholar.
