Abstract
A mathematical model for substrate utilization and biogas production during anaerobic digestion of cattle waste has been described. Gas production rates are not directly proportional to substrate utilization and therefore Monod kinetics for growth and substrate utilization are not directly applicable to biogas production from cattle waste.
