Abstract
This research aims to identify the factors that influence the rise of online gambling,and explain its impact on the behavior of teenagers in Derwati Village, Rancasari District, Bandung City. Descriptive qualitative research method is used to understand the phenomenon of online gambling addiction among teenagers in depth so that the root of the problem can be found. The results found that teenagers have started gambling online since 2021, with Pragmatic play being one of the most popular games. Economic factors are the main reason for playing online gambling. They are interested in playing online gambling because they have high hopes of getting big profits in an easy and fast way. However, this hope actually makes them trapped in addiction because they will continue to try to repeat this success. The negative impact of playing online gambling for teenagers is huge, especially the economic impact. The majority of teenagers who play online gambling go into debt because they want to try and keep trying, even after losing. In one day, they can spend 25,000 to 100,000 thousand rupiah, to play online gambling. In the end, these teenagers expressed a strong desire to stop the habit of playing online gambling because they felt the impact was very influential in their lives.
