Abstract

The mechanism analysis of rail deformation along with pier settlement in the longitudinal connected ballastless track system is analyzed and compared with that in unit slab track system. On this basis, the analytic expression of the mapping relationship between pier settlement and rail deformation in longitudinal connected ballastless track system is deduced, and the rail deformation curve is calculated. From the point of the bridge deformation, the finite element method is used to analyze the rail deformation along with pier settlement. The results of the rail deformation curves both in analytic expression and FEM model are compared. Finally, the rail deformations along with the pier settlement in different track systems are analyzed. The results show that the analytic expression and the FEM model are both available to solve the mapping relationship between pier settlement and rail deformation in longitudinal connected track system. The rail deformation and the excitation frequency caused by high-speed trains in longitudinal connected ballastless track system are both smaller than those in the unit slab track system.
