Abstract

In today's increasingly competitive and diversified business markets, industries are continually striving for a high degree of customer satisfaction through product and service reliability at economical costs. Modern practices are now directed towards the use of harmonized, national and international standards such as BS 5750/ISO 9000 series which provide generic guidelines to developing quality systems as an integral part of successful business management strategies. This paper highlights the management, systems and manpower (human resources) aspects of an organization that can provide effective means of controlling and managing the manufacturing engineering function of quality assurance activities within a company.
