Abstract

A 72-year-old man with a history of abdominal aortic aneurysm, status post-endovascular aneurysm repair, presented with worsening abdominal pain, weight loss, and syncope over the previous 2 months. He had a known thoracic aneurysm with a contained rupture for which the patient had declined intervention. Blood tests showed increased WBC counts of 16.3 × 109/L and hemoglobin of 8.3 g/dL, which was previously 11 g/dL. Computed tomography angiography demonstrated an enlarging aneurysm, with more contained blood and a suspected retroperitoneal mass (Figures 1 and 2).
