Abstract

This article reflects on four issues related to cultural studies, in different dimensions: training and practice in cultural studies (pragmatic), the central concept of conjuncture (conceptual), the nature and the limits of materialism and post-humanism (philosophical) and finally the concept of culture (empirical). Such discussions are important so that cultural studies can extend its discussions beyond academic borders and adopt different strategies to understand and change the world.
