Abstract

The effect of LBS glass on sintering characteristics, microstructures and microwave dielectric properties of Li3Mg2NbO6 ceramics was investigated by solid-state method. The experimental results demonstrated that the addition of LBS glass could effectively lower the sintering temperature of Li3Mg2NbO6 ceramics to 875 °C and promote the Q × f value. The variations in the dielectric constant (εr), Q × f values and τƒ values of Li3Mg2NbO6 ceramics were depended on the amount of LBS glass and the sintering temperature. Li3Mg2NbO6 ceramics with 1.0 wt% LBS glass addition sintered at 875 °C for 4 h exhibited excellent microwave dielectric properties of ɛr∼14.89, Q × f∼86,720GHz and τƒ∼-15.46 ppm/°C, which could be applied in LTCC applications.
