Abstract

The FMR (K band) and magnetization measurements were performed on thin films of composition Y 3− x− y Ca x Pb y Fe 5O 12 , 0< x<0.39. The low temperature magnetization anomaly i.e. a decrease or a larger increase of the magnetization at T<50 K was observed which seems to depend on the lead content. The maxima in the temperature dependence of g eff and Δ H were attributed to a hopping mechanism associated with the O - ions.
