Abstract
A single crystal of UNi2Si2 has been grown by the Czochralski pulling technique. Its physical properties have been studied over a wide range of temperatures and magnetic field strengths. The main aim of the studies was to construct a magnetic phase diagram of the compound in order to verify the hypothesis of the existence of a Lifshitz point in it. Our studies showed that the boundaries between paramagnetic, modulated and uniform magnetic phases do not merge up to 14 T.
