Abstract

Single pixel radiometric measurements and array performance of 256 X 256 miniband-transport multiple quantum well focal plane arrays (FPAs) are presented. The detectors typically have a peak wavelength of 9.1 micrometers with spectral bandwidth of 1.1 micrometers . Laboratory measurements using the NVL 3D noise analysis technique indicate that these first generation 256 X 256 FPAs have a temporal noise equivalent temperature difference of 22 mK and spatial NETD of approximately 40 mK (for an 8 degree(s)C calibration interval) when operated at 60 K in an f/2.36 camera system.© (1994) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
