Abstract

Single pixel radiometric measurements and array performance of 256/spl times/256 miniband-transport multiple quantum well focal plane arrays (FPAs) are presented. The detectors typically have a peak wavelength of 9.1 /spl mu/m with spectral bandwidth of 1.1 /spl mu/m. Laboratory measurements using the NVL 3D noise analysis technique indicate that these first generation 256/spl times/256 FPAs have a temporal noise equivalent temperature difference (NETD) of 22 mK and spatial NETD of /spl sim/40 mK (for an 8/spl deg/C calibration interval) when operated at 60 K in an f/2.36 camera system. >
