Abstract

The computer program LINSY provides the control engineer with the capability of performing classical frequency domain techniques in an easy and efficient way. The desired manipulations concerning rational functions, polynomials, transfer matrices and so on are initiated by the user via a simple command language. A parser program translates the user's input into a sequence of simple tasks which are carried out by a command interpreter using a stack structure and the reversed polish notation. LINSY is written in FORTRAN 77 and the current version of the program is available for personal computers as well as minicomputers. The various facilities of the program are demonstrated in this paper by the design of a multiloop multirate sampled data control system.
