Abstract
Abstract This paper is devoted to research the inner bore damage laws of high chamber pressure tank gun barrel, A larger caliber tank gun barrel is chosen as study object and a full life test is conducted for this barrel, three life-related parameters(muzzle velocity, chamber pressure and inner bore size) are measured during the test. The life of this gun barrel is judged to end according to the high chamber pressure gun barrel life criteria after 658 fired rounds. Life-related parameters variation analysis and initial erosion condition inspection of this test gun barrel are conducted after the test, and several high chamber pressure gun barrel damage laws are obtained. The damage laws have guiding significance for damage mechanism research and life enhancement technology study of high chamber pressure gun barrel.
