Abstract
The documentation about Hellenophones’ communities located in Africa is very limited, in particular documents providing information on their conditions of integration into African cities. Two literary passages (Diodoros of Sicilia, XIV, 77, 5 and Strabon, XVII, 3, 13) and a little inscription found in Baal-Hamon/ Saturn sanctuary close to Thuburnica (CIL, VIII, 25736) describe juridical and religious conditions which frame the welcome for Greek immigrants in Cartago, Cirta and Thuburnica from the 4th to the 1st centuries B. C.
