Abstract
This study examines the relationships between leisure needs, serious leisure attitudes, and leisure activities among Korean young adults in their twenties or thirties. The study shows the following results. First, three leisure needs groups were identified: practical interest group, achievement oriented group, and segregation seeking group. These leisure needs groups differ in the degree of serious leisure attitudes in terms of sense of belonging, psychological fulfillment, and development efforts. There also were group differences in the types of leisure activities respondents perceived to be the most significant.
