Abstract
Earth transportation in Poland. The current configuration of transportation networks in Poland is the result of the conglomeration of distinct components inherited from three dissimilar systems. The integration of the national system into a coherent lattice consisted of regrouping the sub-systems ; taking into account the political and economic constraints imposed. The article evokes the stages of extension and the alterations undertaken in the road and railway networks. Also called to mind is the development of the infrastructures as well as the adaptation of transportation to suit changing needs.
