Abstract
Baraduc Jean, Bergounioux Gabriel, Castellotti Véronique, Dumont Céline et Marie-Hélène Lansari - "The Linguistic Standing of Intermediary Vowels". Based on a study of about twenty Orleans children (9-11 old), this paper tries to reconstruct the conditions of non-conformity, i.e. opening inversion with intermediary vowels in French. We thus consider and assess social and linguistic (morphologic contraints, syllabic environment, lexical scope, discourse situation) parameters that would explain the ongoing transformation of certain opening affixations and would enable one to consider non-conformity as an overlooked social distinction strategy.
