Abstract
The unified wholesale trading estate of Toulouse (France). Questioning some various and recent trends of the wholesale trading business in different French towns, some businessmen and companies decided and choosed to develope and organize wholesale trading estates where they transferred their premises and where they share from then on common services though they do not consider the incorporation of their companies. This is the case in Toulouse where 33 commercial enterprises formerly located in down town districts merged into a common venture and moved to a specialized peripheral estate ; the total employment reaches nowadays the 750 figure on this estate. Up to date management methods are applied to this trading estate which receives goods from all over France and Europe but dispatches them all over Southwestern France only, such an unbalance being a typical feature for a lesser industrialized region.
