Abstract

1. In deformation regimes of the superplastic type, material AMG6 behaves as an ideal thermoviscoelastic medium. No instantaneous plastic strains occur, which makes it possible to examine the loading process as a unified process, rather than having to break it down into an active period and an unloading period. 2. The irreversible component of the strain is the creep strain, the creep rate being independent of the thermomechanical history of the material and described by the equation of state η c =ϕ(σ, T), without strain-hardening or softening parameters. 3. The proposed analytical expression ϕ=ϕ(σ, T) satisfactorily describes deformation processes taking place with variable values of σ=σ(t) and T=T(t) within a broad range of thermomechanical loading.
