Abstract
The transmission and launching schemes for ECH experiments at 28 GHz in the JFT-2 tokamak and at 60 GHz in Doublet III are described. The 28 GHz system uses fundamental mode waveguide and a steerable phased array antenna, while the 60 GHz system uses the TE01 circular electric mode for transmission in over moded waveguide and a TE01 to TE11 mode converter at the antenna. The extrapolation of the 60 GHz scheme to higher frequency and power is discussed.
