Abstract
We describe an experimental investigation of Alfvén wave excitation (ω <<ωci) at low power level, carried out on the TCA Tokamak using a toroidally periodic antenna structure with purely meridional currents. Several new experimental facts are reported, which will be of importance for heating schemes in this frequency range.
