Abstract

The neutron-proton spin-correlation parameter, ${C}_{\mathrm{NN}}$, has been measured at ${\ensuremath{\theta}}_{n}=140 \mathrm{and} 174\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}$ c.m., by scattering polarized neutrons from a polarized proton target. Comparison to recent phase-shift analyses is made, and a sensitivity of the $S\ensuremath{-}D$ coupling parameter to the data is noted.
