Abstract

Summary: This is a 7 yo patient who previously had two episodes of torsion of the right adnexa within seven months, without distinctive mass or cyst. Both episodes were treated with laparoscopic detorsion. Oophoropexy was not performed at the time of torsion due to concern for adnexal edema increasing the risk of failure of ovarian fixation. She and her family elected for interval oophoropexy which was performed three months after the second torsion episode, after ultrasound confirmed resolution of edema.
