Abstract

In recent years, Spain has experimented changes around the family structure, facts which have emerged as a consequence of a set of particularities in the Spanish society, in a moment when the organization of families was very different from the traditional model to which it was linked, characterized by a male head of household, and a woman in charge of the care of the home and relatives. Among them, the main one is the incorporation of women in the labor market, which has caused a need of men’s participation in housework, and, therefore, a greater implication of companies around conciliation measures about balance of work and family life. It is about a period of change that has searched gender equality in housework, and the access to co-responsibility by the male collective as the main goal. But, how well these aspects have been achieved in the business reality?
