Recently there has been an increasing interest in Dante's language in Britain. In the past, the study of Italian was confined to few enthusiasts. Today more people learn Italian. Some are driven by specific reasons. It is felt that there be bespoke courses for lawyers, managers and fashionistas. Our teaching has also been affected by this new way of learning Italian. Although there are lots of study resources, there is much to be done regarding the evaluation of the students' performance. The errors gathered are not divided according to fields or theories. Reference to other studies is made only where necessary, to allow for a more discursive analysis without the straightjacket of paradigms and with a pinch of irony.
