Abstract

This paper presents a comparative analysis of studies for pre-school teachers and teachers in Serbia and Bulgaria. The mentioned studies are being prepared, planned, organized and realized in Serbia and Bulgaria by the Bologna model. Upon completion of bachelor studies, students receive a diploma with 240 ESBP with the obligation to enroll master academic studies. Nevertheless, studies for pre-school teachers and teachers in Bulgaria differ significantly. Unlike Serbia, where they are two separate study programs: 1) teachers in pre-school institutions and 2) class teaching, in Bulgaria it is a joint study program, which is generally harmonized at all universities. There is only a terminological difference in the title of the study program, such as at the Sofia University of Sv. Kliment Ohridski in Sofia - class and preschool pedagogy; St. Gregory's univ. Cyril and Methodius in Veliko Tarnovo - pre-school and initial school pedagogy; Southwestern University Neofit Rilski in Blagoevgrad - pedagogy for pre-school and class teaching. A significant difference is reflected in the curriculum for teachers and pre-school teachers in Serbia and Bulgaria. Without going into more detail in the presentation of studies for pre-school teachers and teachers in Serbia, the paper presents a joint study program for pre-school teachers and teachers in Bulgaria, and then a comparative analysis of study programs for pre-school teachers and teachers in Serbia and Bulgaria.
