Abstract
The research project is one of the high-impact educational strategy because it cultivates essential skills and attitudes for lifelong learners. The development of research skills is equally important in health professions education. The main objective of this study was to record knowledge and perception towards research among BDS Interns. The respondents in the present study were interns of Sharad Pawar Dental College, Sawangi(Wardha). A questionnaire form was circulated to all 105 BDS interns.Based on the results, research project helped studentsin gaining better knowledge and it also improved skills, and many students faced barrier in conducting research such as lack of time, difficulty in research, So Students should be encouraged and motivated to participate in research by developing strategies to overcome the difficulties they experience. Hence, research based projects should be implemented in dental curriculum.
