Abstract

Muslim countries have great and strategic potential in developing economic and financial resources. However, the great potential of Muslim countries is not followed by good economic performance so that it can prosper the people in Muslim countries. In the end, poverty and underdevelopment are identified with Muslim countries. Therefore this study aims to analyze the categories of Muslim countries related to their role in the welfare of society, where categories are classified into four groups, namely: weak countries, miserly countries, generous countries and prosperous countries. The country samples used in this study were 27 countries and the technical data analysis used descriptive statistical analysis. The results of this study indicate that the first, related to its role in the welfare of society, there are two countries included in the miser category, one country in the category of generous countries and twenty-five other countries in the category of weak countries.
