Abstract

The problem discussed in this study is the ability of students to write a description of the Junior High School eighth grade students Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung Academic Year 2020/2021. The goal is to determine the ability of students to write descriptions. The method used descriptive method. Data sources used form of bouquets description taken from 32 students proportional stratified random sampling technique from students overall. These results indicate the ability to write descriptions of students get total of 70.73 is quite. Score indicator of ideas presented contents 74.06; contents organizations 75; grammar score 68.29, Choice of words or diction score 69.03; obtained spelling and usage aspects 70, 12. Based on the research that has been done, it is known the student has not fully mastered the written description of procedure in accordance with the ideas, organization of content, grammar, word choice and spelling usage.
