Abstract
This research aims to describe the intertextual in Siti Nurbaya by Marah Rusli and My lecturer my husband by Gitlicious. The method used in the research is descriptive qualitative research. The result of this research is that the themes raised are similar, namely the theme of arranged marriage or forced marriage plus the theme of struggle and sacrifice. The characters and characterizations of these two stories have not too much difference, each describing a character who experienced forced marriage, but in different times. The plot of these two stories has similarities, namely, both have a forward plot and the setting of these two stories is different, marah Rusli takes the setting of the area in Padang, namely Minangkabau, while Gitlicious takes place in Jakarta, namely college and Malang City.
