Abstract

Joint displays are commonly used to present integrated results in mixed methods research. However, joint displays remain underutilized as a visual method of conducting integrative analysis. As mixed methods research designs in education become increasingly complex, this chapter uncouples joint displays from designs and presents joint displays based on researchers' intents for integrating qualitative and quantitative research. I advocate for the use of joint displays as an integration method in mixed methods educational research, provide general advice for using joint displays, and include templates as a potential structure for joint displays based on the integration intent.
