Abstract

Job satisfaction and organizational commitment are shown to be heavily related to organizational behavior. Job satisfaction is related to several variables, such as performance, motivation, commitment, absenteeism, and turnover intention. Organizational Commitment is categorized as affective, continuance, and normative commitment. Moreover, both job satisfaction and organizational commitment also serve a mediating role in connecting variables and are both influenced and influencing factors. The present study was conducted through a web-based questionnaire system with Vietnamese participants utilizing a 5-point scale method to investigate the effect of job satisfaction on organizational commitment. The results show a significant relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment. However, the influence of intrinsic and extrinsic Satisfaction on different types of commitment varied. The study proves the complexity and the importance of understanding the organizational behavior of the Vietnamese workforce.
