Abstract

This article concerns the profile of prof. Janina Doroszewska and presents the course ofher education, professional activity before starting work at the State Institute of SpecialEducation (PIPS), the history of her cooperation with Maria Grzegorzewska, the importanceof her organisational as well as scientific and didactic activity for the developmentof special education, with particular emphasis on therapeutic pedagogy, and her role inprotecting the legacy of Grzegorzewska.
