Abstract
Doctor of Humanities Jan Pilecki, a special educator, student and continuator of the ideas ofProfessor Maria Grzegorzewska, has associated his entire professional life with education,performing various functions in educational and academic institutions. From 1977 to 1997,he was employed at the National Higher Teacher Training College (currently the Universityof the National Education Commission, Krakow). He was a respected teacher, the author ofseveral monographs and many articles and chapters in collective works.
