Abstract
Under eccentric compression of rods in them arises uniaxial stress state. If the material of rod is homogeneous, diagram stresses in all cross-sections have the same trapezoidal shape. When the limit state bar is happen, the destruction will occur in the weakest section at the point where stresses are maximal. So, the remainder of this section is underused. The idea of the method proposed in the paper is to determine the law of variation of the elasticity modulus, at which the stress across the cross-section “aligned” approaching to a constant value.
