Abstract

The aim of the research is justification of the need and content of physical education for schoolchildren. The research methods and organization are the study and analysis of scientific and methodological literature. It is important to note that in many countries of the world school programs are focused on physical training with subject education of basic motor abilities. In our opinion it is time to examine more extensively and, on this basis, develop special programs for schoolchildren of different ages, studying in different climate conditions. The development of standards for assessing students living conditions in different regions and taking into account local conditions will help increase the level of preparedness of students; provide the adequacy of the requirements to the capabilities of students. The author's research in this direction is still developing.
