Abstract

Competition, as a major driver of tourism and hospitality industry development, is increasing steadily. The development of tourism and hospitality is being implemented as one of the five strategic points in the 5T program — main strategy in Odessa region. However, the methods and mechanisms used by Odessa businessmen in this segment are considered to be outdated and ineffective. The experience of international tourism market in attracting investments should be implemented as soon as possible in perspective touristic regions. Therefore, the objective of the article is to structure the market of hotel and restaurant services at the present stage, to identify perspective and prior segments of development according to the specifics of Odessa region and to develop effective investment management approaches in accordance with the European level to attract investments.The article focuses on the strategic development of hospitality industry in Ukraine, identifies the factors inhibiting the development of the domestic market of tyranny, and in particular, the hotel industry, which needs reorganization and update.The factors of development of the investment climate, which serve as basic conditions in attracting investment capital, are structured and grouped.
