Abstract

This article examines the economic, social and political dimensions of globalization as a process. A deep analysis of the nature and characteristic features of global economic transformations is carried out, their main contradictions are structured and typologies in terms of the levels and rates of development of the national economy, its sectoral and institutional organizational structure, the development of the agricultural sector market, the distribution of income among different categories, etc. Various aspects and paradigms of the modern system of global socio-economic relations, within which relevant scientific schools work, are considered. The main structural disparities between industries and other categories are identified and systematized, recommendations are provided for distortions and their causes, which are associated not only with institutional imperfections, but also with a lack of strategic approaches to economic development and innovative passivity. The main challenges that appear for the national economy in the context of modern events that have unfolded on the territory of Ukraine and the world are examined and analyzed in detail. In this context, serious distortions in the policy of development of science, education and innovation in Ukraine were revealed. The main principles and tasks on which the priority development strategy of the country should be built in the conditions of global economic and technological transformations are formulated. A comparative analysis of structural changes in the economy of Ukraine, the world economy as a whole and in certain groups of countries of the world was carried out.
