Abstract
Objective To explore the status quo of traditional Chinese medicine demands of COPD patients hospitalization period.Methods According to the cost of Chinese herbal medicine,the status quo of the demands of Chinese medicine was analyzed in patients with COPD hospitalized in 2008 - 2009.Results Among 1 676 patients with COPD,482 cases were accepted with different degrees of traditional Chinese medicine,accounting for 28.7%.The Chinese medicine was needed more by women patients than men patients,male accounted for 27.95%,female 32.5%,the majority were patients with age 56 to 75,the difference was statistically significant by theX2 test (P < 0.05 ).For needing traditional Chinese medicine,the number of patients hospitalized more than 30 days was more than who hospitalized less than 7 days,theX2 value was 66.801 (P =0.000),and the number of patients who hospitalized more than 5 times is more than who hospitalized only once,the X2 value is 39.625 (P =0.000).Conclusions The nurses should concern the patients with COPD who need traditional Chinese medicine treatment and provide them with Chinese medicine nursing care.
