Abstract

Tin crystalline material with different sizes and shapes was given more attention due to their interesting properties and applications. In the present work we have grown L-Valinium tin chloride single crystals by slow evaporation method. The cell parameters were determined by the X-ray diffraction analysis. Optical behaviour was examined by UV–Vis-NIR spectral studies. FT-IR studies reveal the functional groups present in the material. The magnetic properties of the crystal were determined at room temperature using vibrating sample magnetometer. Photoluminescence studies were also done. The hardness of the material was calculated for different loads. The dielectric nature of the material was also analysed.
