Abstract
Isotherms of water adsorption and desorption from graphite surfaces have been determined. Thermal analysis curves of water thermodesorption from graphite surfaces have also been determined. From the experimental data the energetic changes accompanying water adsorption and desorption processes were calculated. A mechanism for water adsorption has been proposed, and conclusions concerning the structure and other properties of water films on graphite surfaces have been made.
