Abstract

This article introduces the internet-based information management system developed by Peking University Health Science Center. The three applications of the system are first presented, as in ac-tual use at various levels of management. Then the article projects the prospective significance of its use in continuing medical education in three aspects. Firstly, the use of management system may regulate manage-ment procedures of projects related to continuing medical education. Then it may make it possible to render the management process more scientific. Lastly but not the least, it can provide a basis for the making of rules in administrative work. It is hoped that this system may bring inspiration to information management staff and people working in related fields. Key words: Management system; Internet; Continuing medical education
